Hello, I’m Rachel. A Design+Creative Director based in Brooklyn, NY. I led Global Brand Design at TikTok and spent two decades in & out of agencies, big tech, design firms, media, production, and entertainment. Over the years, I've been a Design Director, Creative Director, Art Director, Creative Strategist, Brand Strategist. But my proudest title came the day my manager introduced me to a partner agency as The Wolf.
Different roles, same obsession: brand building.
I work at the intersection of brand and product, equally comfortable on the ground (hands-on, in the work, freakishly organized) and in the air (leader, manager, mentor, strategist). I've designed campaigns, built visual identity systems, created strategic frameworks, guidelines, templates, and toolkits. Work that drives real impact and has a long shelf life.
I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments and firmly believe the best workplaces are the most diverse ones. Whether it's a big brand campaign or a new product launch, my focus is always the same: visual consistency across disciplines, and creative systems that are high-functioning and self-sustaining.
previous experience, before TikTok:
additional, serpentine-path experience:
Along the way, I’ve designed a million presentations, painted a few murals, worked as a set designer on the feature film, Greetings From Tim Buckley, a production designer for some indie music videos, helped create a TV pilot, a short horror film, and was crazy enough to participate in the 48-hr film festival once.
The two IMDB credits under my name are: Mourner & Prostitute.
Additional credits include: stage mom to my late, celebrity dog, Otis and Assistant Director on this live action + animation masterpiece, “Plan of the City” which Anne Midgette of the Washington Post calls "One of the best matches of visuals to music I’ve seen."
